UNBELIEVABLE car ride over a sea cliff!

I have NO idea where this last week has gone to, but on Sunday I was still working! However! The journey to the artist's studio was a one mile ultra low gear Land Rover ride over a mountain and down a steep cliff side, it is hard to walk down it let alone drive down it in a car! When walking you keep your body upright but in the Landy you are literally facing downhill at the sea looming towards you and 300ft cliffs below - utterly awesome and probably the most amazing, if slightly disturbing car journeys I've ever done. The picture really does NO justice to the angle which in places was about 1:3 :-)))

Anyway, painting finished and an amazing lunch overlooking the Irish Sea later, and we were back in the vehicle climbing UP the same route. There was the distinct feeling that cars just don't do this on cliff sides without rolling backwards but we did, me feeling like an astronaut on Kennedy Space Center Launch Pad whilst the artist chatted about painting and landscape and so on!!

It was a privileged experience for me and I am so glad I am part of the art world to have had the opportunity !
