The first print, unusually No. 2/20, of this A1 limited edition, has just been purchased by Derek & Maria of Wigan, UK.
"Winter, cold, after sun down. The remnants of daylight were just enough to illuminate the long slow waves sweeping across this expansive beach. You can just make out the lights of the town in the distance. We had an argument so I took photographs whilst she marched off to a café. The stupidity of our disagreement paled into insignificance amidst the infinity of this huge black universe all around me. By the time my feet had been soaked and my fingers were frozen to the tripod, there was nothing more heart lifting than watching this lonely figure return to me from the darkness."
