From my recent trip to Llanddwyn. I rarely photograph blue sunny days but the retreating tide had left the smoothest virgin sand, with just the tiniest of sea shells and Sea Gooseberries scattered along the waterline. The sunshine shimmered in the pools as gusts of Force 7 ruffled their surface. The stark contrast between the rough black rock and the pale smooth sand was extremely sensual.

So sorry you all, I have NO idea where this last week went but here I am again! Actually, to tell the truth, I do know where SOME of that time has gone, and it's involved some really amazing and seriously committed time out photographing, by myself, and REALLY enjoying it!

So this post is just to let you see a few examples from the last three trips. As I've said before, most of my new images posted here are just 'draft versions' from the files I shot. I have also decided definitely NOT to show you the best from any of my excursions, as these will form the basis of my next Anglesey book. I think you will LOVE the next book, which even now I know will be a great follow up volume, yet powerful in it's own right. I can also see it being another shift in subject matter, though you will have to wait until Autumn 2010! :-)

Anyway, here is the first image shot just a couple of weeks ago. I love it's flat lighting, it's loneliness but also the richness of flora, like a colourful blanket thrown over the evening landscape. There was a sense of waiting for something to happen when I shot the picture, and I hope you can feel that in the resulting picture?
