The awe inspiring lost village of Nant Gwrtheyrn which became the famous Welsh language centre, nestled in the ancient hills of Yr Eifl, was in 2008 the focus for my major project "Y Swyngyfaredd - The Enchantment"

The project became a coffee table book which was launched alongside a huge exhibition of limited edition prints at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, by Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas AM. There then followed a more intimate exhibition at the Gwynedd Museum & Gallery in Bangor.

Just a week ago Nant Gwrtheyrn who have almost finished the complete refurbishment of the village interiors, have purchased a set of my original edition prints for permanent display within the redecorated cottages.

Things Changed at Night 1/60
It seems fitting that so many of my favourite images from the project, taken at the end of an era and the cusp of a new, should hang in this legend and history steeped village for posterity.

Basking in Winter Sun 1/60
If any of you are able to visit, you will not only be able to enjoy delicious home cooking as always, but can now enjoy alcoholic beverages from their striking new bar area and function room, whilst standing on decking overlooking a breathtaking vista across the Irish Sea.
