In this photographically quiet summer period of either rain or crowded beaches, I have used the opportunity to look back through some older files in the "to be sorted" folders.
I re-discovered this one, showing a wind-swept empty beach on Anglesey, just as I like them :-)
It was always the composition I'd liked in this file, not the colour, so I stripped out all saturation and adjusted the contrast. Now it speaks volumes, to me at least, about the space, distance, emptiness, loneliness and transitional nature of these elemental stage-sets.
UFO Like, this cloud blocks the bright sunshine, and the beach shivers in the sudden coolness.
I've given up waiting for the summer, I'm now awaiting the drama of winter once more !
