"This was a beautifully eerie day on the Welsh hills for me. As usual I was alone, enjoying the solitude, but today felt different. There was hill fog all around, and blankets of low cloud tumbled like breakers on a sea shore down into the valleys around me, but here at the summit of Mynydd Mawr, I was totally in the clear though the air was bitingly cold. However as I moved towards the South ridge, I looked into a void of swirling cloud rolling upwards towards me and it was most unnerving. In this frame, just the very summit of Elidir Fawr peaks above huge swathes of white foggy skirt."
