It may not sound like a lot of sales for a Private View but my prints are not mass produced cheap canvases and vast edition numbers. Indeed my 200 year archival signed prints are now strictly limited to just three and five copies at A1 and A2 and hence most large prints are around £1200 - £1700. Whilst this may be just a fraction of London prices, around here at least most purchases have to be carefully considered before completion, and prints simply won't fly off the shelves.
I am delighted that the first of this three edition A1 Edition has sold as it holds special memories for me, and I have a particular fondness for it for that reason. It will join another of my A1 Editions ("Wind Formed") which already sits alongside Donald McIntyre paintings in a North Anglesey house, so an honour indeed. Thanks so much Andy & Alison :-)

"I was blown away [pun intended] by the patterns and tones caused by the sheets of wind-driven sand over the shore, it really was like looking down at the earth whilst flying through low cloud but anything taller than one foot or so remained clear and static, betraying the impression! Thing is that on a beach this size it was easy to fall into the trap of repeating what you'd just photographed twenty feet earlier ! I looked for specific shapes within the low dune like like beach formations and balanced them against the rapidly drifting cloud"
