Loyal and very supportive customer Gareth Williams of Anglesey, just walked into my gallery on Saturday, fell in love with one of my mountainscapes in about five minutes flat, and bought it ! No.1 of 10 A2s has now gone, but later copies are still available. These loyal customers are the lifeblood of a gallery and always seem to arrive just at the right moment :-)
Gareth also bought a multi image A1 of Anglesey seascapes, to match his existing set of mountain-scapes.
This particular image of Mynydd Carnguwch was taken in March this year, on a day which was supposed to be hot and sunny, but which actually turned out warm and very very hazy. I have always loved the female breast shape of Mynydd Carnguwch, know by many locals as "Tit Mountain" :-) and in the soft gentle light of the afternoon, hazy softening the contours like a fine silk sheet, the nipple of the summit balanced the distant peak perfectly and looked more like mother earth than ever.
